WHAT IS A D-GROUP?
A D-Group is a gender-specific group of 3-4 believers that meets
weekly. Think of D-Groups as our training program to help you
become a faithful disciple maker.
WHAT MAKES D-GROUPS DIFFERENT THAN LIFE GROUPS OR OTHER SMALL GROUPS?
Whereas Life Groups are ongoing and open (anyone can join or
leave), D-Groups are closed groups that meet for a period of 12
months. D-Groups require serious commitment to the completion
of the daily disciplines in preparation for the weekly meetings. At
the end of 12 months, D-Group participants are expected to go and
make disciples in accordance with goals set forth in the group.
TIME COMMITMENT
D-Group participants must be willing to commit to meet weekly for 1 hour for 52 weeks.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN A D-GROUP?
The format is simple. You will meet for 60-75 minutes per week:
- 15 minutes in fellowship
- 20 minutes in bible reading discussion
- 15 minutes responding to accountability questions
- 10 minutes praying
DO D-GROUPS HAVE MATERIALS OR CURRICULUM?
Whereas the focus of D-Groups is not purely bible study, each participant will be given a D-Group Starter Guide and Calvary journal.
