5 Steps on the "Romans Road" to Salvation

Romans 3:23
“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”
The gospel is good news—but only because there is bad news: we are all sinners. No one is righteous (Romans 3:10-12), and no one meets God’s perfect standard. Sin separates us from a holy God, and we all need a Savior.

Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God’s love is shown through Jesus, who died for us even in our sin. Though we were helpless and unworthy, God chose to save us. This is the heart of the gospel—Jesus took our place.

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Sin earns us death—both physical and spiritual. But God offers eternal life through Jesus. He took our punishment so we could receive the gift of life and escape eternal separation from God (Hebrews 9:27).

Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ…”
If you’re in Christ—trusting in His death and resurrection—your sin is forgiven. There’s no more guilt, shame, or condemnation. You’re free.

Romans 10:9
“…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…”
Salvation is received by faith. Confess Jesus as Lord, believe in His resurrection, and you will be saved. He offers hope, freedom, and new life to all who believe.
