Missions: Reflecting on 2024 & Looking Ahead to 2025

Calvary’s commitment to missions continues to make a significant impact both locally and globally. In 2024, we sponsored six mission trips, sending 53 people to serve in various regions. Many others participated in additional mission efforts, demonstrating the heart of our church in spreading the gospel.

2024 Missions Highlights
Uganda: Douglas Neel and members of his family delivered Bible training materials to Pastor Joseph, supporting six training centers with 90 students. They also visited a new church under construction and explored potential agricultural projects for refugee camps.

South Asia: James Thomas went to South Asia and visited missionaries who serve in the most lost part of the whole world. A key moment was when an Uber driver, in his fifties, heard the name of Jesus for the first time, highlighting the great need for continued mission efforts.

France: Madison Daigle was a member of a team who ministered to North African Middle Eastern (NAME) immigrants. Their outreach included prayer walks, street evangelism, and a Thanksgiving event. A highlight was worshiping alongside believers singing in multiple languages, offering a glimpse of heaven’s unity.

Honduras: Stacy Peoples and 28 others served in a remote village, providing medical and dental care, distributing food, and sharing the gospel. A powerful moment occurred when a young girl accepted Christ after hearing the gospel from teenage team members.

Nepal: Tim Randell and his team worked alongside local pastors, providing support in a country where evangelism by foreigners is restricted. Missionaries Kevin and Cynthia continue their long-term ministry, running children’s homes and serving communities in need.

Looking Ahead to 2025
In 2025, we will continue to expand our reach with at least six mission trips planned, focusing on:

  • Nepal (October): Medical missions and support for Kevin and Cynthia’s outreach.
  • Honduras: Providing medical, dental, and spiritual support in an underserved village.
  • Canada: Supporting the establishment of Cornerstone Church in Okotoks and conducting ESL and outreach programs.

Calvary significantly subsidizes mission costs to encourage participation. While financial contributions are vital, prayer remains the foundation of our efforts. We invite you to support these missions through prayer, giving, or direct involvement by applying below.
